Platypuses and their habitat are vulnerable to a variety of natural and man-made threats that are increasing with climate change and urban development. Unfortunately, there is growing evidence that platypus numbers are declining.

platypusSPOT uses citizen science to gather information on platypus occurrence / distribution. We believe no-one knows their area like a local – and that’s where you come in. We urgently need your help to know where platypuses occur and where they may have declined or disappeared.
